Impossible though it might appear, Amanwana seems to want to move the game on from the incredible Silolona which cruised the Komodo archipelago last year and which we reported on. Her replacement, the equally 'locale' Ikan Gurami only has two double cabins and so offers an even more intimate and private experience. From Bali, you will fly east over the famed Wallace line to Flores Island and the small colorful fishing village of Labuan Bajo to board the Ikan Gurami , a traditional 27-metre (88') coastal cruiser that combines the ancient romance of the spice trade sailing vessels with today's modern amenities. The Ikan Gurami is the perfect vessel for a private cruise for one or two couples or a family. Two large staterooms are fitted with king-size beds and combine a lounge area, spacious bathroom with vanity, shower and separate toilet, plus a private balcony. At sunset on the fifth day, the vessel begins its overnight cruise to the nature reserve of Moyo Island where Amanwana is situated.
