During the course of the last 30 years, we have been lucky enough to travel to over a hundred countries and had the opportunity to stay in endless hotels of every different calibre. It is against this background that we have selected the 25 resorts and boats featured in this book. As keen divers, we are continually looking as to where to go next, and it seemed to us that whilst you could pick up beautiful books with stunning underwater images, no one told you exactly where they were or how you accessed them. We set out to remedy this, but to do so in some style. During our research we looked at hundreds of potential resorts, and once we had a short list, even had to drop some of them once we had visited, finding the reality did not really live up to either their website or promise. None of the final 25 have paid to be in this book, it is genuinely a meritocracy.
